you can use paperwork made with scanned physical paperwork, but it needs to be square and non skewed to be imported into Dr. Cehckoff 100% accuratly. The pdf's direct from prophouse are always 100% accurate and not hard to get.

Fixes-

Counts are right on, and i cant remember them all, mainly polishing UI expectations

New features-

view original pdf from main screen or scan screen, option on each item to see its page as the starting page

sample paperwork when you install the app the first time, and you can restore it in the options

counts - show the counts on the main page

I do intend to charge 8 bucks a month or so , eventually, to use the camera.  I have spent around 600 bucks so far, and have to pay 100 bucks a year to apple to keep it up.  And i have to constantly update it to work on the newest stuff at a minimum.

But if I can make enough to not book set dressing work for two weeks a month to work on it, we can have nice things. I'll add features like reports for the Leads paperwork, get the count really accurate, have multiple handheld superfast laser scanners...

maybe if i can make enough, I can pay 1000$ a year and put in a nice camera scanner to take pictures of paperwork and have it import.

but for now its supposed to be free, so the android evrsion will get work soon.

If there was a . or ! in the name of the pdf you imported,bad things friends. bad things. Similarly, if you renamed and added that.  blood moon.  apocalyptic.

So thats fixed and sunny days are safe. for now.there will be bugs and i will crusah them

Barcode Error Correction – It now takes about a second to scan a code but it reads them 8 times in that time and now there is no need to scan something more than once.  Sometimes while it was focusing or moving it would be a number off. That is fixed.

Original Page View - You can now see the pdf page that any list item came from with a button revealed by sliding the thing.

Advanced mode - You now default skip the data review screen. It still comes up upon import when in "advanced" mode. That lets you see and edit the barcodes as they come in from the pdf paperwork, in case you get a squirrley one.  But you probably wont (fingers crossed)

Fancy Pants - i made it look fancy

Color Options - its very rudamentary but you can change the colors if'n you want or need to

Old feature you may have missed is you can take notes about an item.

Im gonna hunker down and do whatever needs done to get it approved on the store as a free app.  After that, I will start adding features, starting with the ability to generate a report pdf to print and file with the paperwork with a summary.

Then I got a couple more ideas for features like scanning and saving a list of items to then retroactivly apply to paperwork files you get later.

Soem scanned in a second and others took a couple. its about the distance, and i got better and faster at it as i went.

then, i was down to 3 items.  In the future, i want to send item description via text out to the team on site, but for now i just had to find the missing stapler.


Its already super useful, i have a couple more features i cant help but add after todays checking experience. but i really really just need to get a minimum feature set polished enough to pass apples criteria for approval.

i tested the import of a real pdf today on a job, and i forgot to deal with the last page!

So for now you have to delete 5  junk entries at the end of the list, in the blue dirty table, before you save it to file. you cannot edit in the check screen.

big (mild bad) news

- the apple version has a bug. it will only read our micro barcodes at 90 degrees.  so you have to orient the barcode vertical to scan it. weird.  aspect ratios stacked and warped i think.  so at some point, if it doesnt get magically fixed upstream, ill change out more guts if i need to to fix that. but i am going to wait for the magic fix and work on other bigger stuff for now, its not that big a deal.

and  the next new thing will be an organizational change. you will be able to directly scan loose paperwork, the set page will go away as one of the three and that becomes one of two

set page will be making a season 2 return as the "Generate Report" page. but that needs a new name because that just sounds like i am trying to ruin everything. maybe just call it a data page, to compile loose paperwork into sets, attach the generated final report to those sets. email them?  handoff for half checked sets cause you got a truck run and you will be damned if you have to find the last 4 items before you go....

However, while making a feature in loose paperwork import, having it automaticaly creature the set folder and make it active, i just realized i had tunnel vision while making the "set" feature and its REAL slick nows a days but , lol , not very practical because who the heck every wants to check multiple prop houses at once? maybe once in a while, but not really.  So i need to retool a little bit aiming at the single paperwork at a time workflow.
